Defensive Pistol Skills

Defensive Pistol Skills

Formerly known as “Skills lab,” Defensive Pistol Skills is a level 2 course that is aimed to improve your knowledge and practical ability in additional context. The pre-requisite for this course is Pistol Mechanics.

This course focuses on:

Moving while shooting

Shooting from alternate stances

Shooting from alternate positions

Incorporation of barriers, furniture, and more into the field of fire

Decision making scenarios including introduction to vehicles and active shooter scenarios

Emergency First Aid

The currently expected round count for this course is up to 350 rounds, but feel free to bring more since we will let you run drills multiple times as daylight permits. Expect to be there for up to 9 hours.

WEATHER POLICY: We shoot rain or shine unless the conditions become unsafe. I will contact each shooter personally and post a cancellation if this occurs. Guns will survive a few hours of rain and so will you. *Does not apply to lectures including Part 1 of Pistol Mechanics. No weather cancellations exists for these.
